Good afternoon everyone ,
We have had several cases of unwell children this week with high temperatures and generally out of sorts , and I have just been informed of a confirmed case of chickenpox in the sunflowers . Can I please remind you not to bring your child to nursery if they are unwell or have a temperature . These viruses/infections spread very quickly throughout the nursery affecting all the children , their families and the staff . Please be vigilant with your hygiene , especially hand washing - there are also hand sanitiser units in both buildings .
Below is a link to symptoms of chickenpox .

Please note that the incubation period can be up to three weeks before the symptoms appear . The child cannot return to nursery until no new spots appear and all spots are healing- usually about 5 days . If you suspect your child may have chickenpox , please do not bring them to nursery and see your GP .
Thank you
